Feeding the Hungry

August 09 Update – Feeding the Hungry – spiritually and physically!

We’re continuing to do the free breakfast and food giveaway. Due to high demand and logistics during the month of August we decided to do this aspect of mercy ministry every other week. Today the people were lined up at 7:00 am this morning waiting for their ticket for a bag of groceries. Over 130 food packages were given to needy families today!

Bucerias Church Plant Update

In January 2008, after 14 years of serving as with La Fuente Ministries in Tepic, Keith and Maya Durkin, our friends and partners felt God’s leading to start a church plant in Bucerias, Mexico right in Nayarit’s booming coastal region. They held their first Sunday Service in their rental home 2 days after they moved in. There were seven of them. One year later they now are doing two Sunday services on our church property with about 80 people attending.

This is the beginning of a Short Term Mission trip (see Future Mission Trips on the far left for more info) by a team of 41 volunteers who traveled to Sayulita Mexico to provide medical, dental, vision services, Mission and Orphanage construction, and worship services.
