On Wednesday April 18th, my son Eric & I met with Pastor Keith, Pastor Fredy, and their wives for a few hours in Bucerias and the surrounding areas. We looked at the progress that La Fuente has made in many areas but especially the main church in Bucerias. We are building again. The steel is almost ready to go up to finish the sanctuary. The photo shows how hard they are working. The white-painted steel was purchased from a closed down tobacco factory and Pastor Keith saved thousands of dollars by doing that. To think back at the first time we saw this land — just an empty, run down lot – and now to see it being used by God in ways beyond what I believed were possible!

ON OUR NOV 8-12 MISSION TRIP WE HOPE TO DEDICATE THE CHURCH THEN. THAT WILL BE A GREAT DAY AND I HOPE YOU CAN BE THERE TOO.

I know many of our team worked very hard to help make that a reality.

We also toured 3 sites that the Mexican Gov. may give us one of them. One was so perfect in Santa Fe near Bucerias.

IT HAS A HUGE SOCCER FIELD, ROOM FOR THE KIDS AROUND THE WORLD PLAYGROUND. ROOM FOR THE INSTANT CHURCH AND PARKING.  Chris Marshall from Kids Around the World has a great idea to use the container that we ship the playground in for an instant church. In our last Newsletter we had a sketch of how that would look. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IN 1 WEEK WE COULD HAVE THE PLAYGROUND AND AN INSTANT CHURCH UP AND RUNNING.

La Fuente Ministries is such an amazing partner as is Kids Around the World, all of them working to make this a reality. La Fuente is also building in Punta de Mita. They work so hard to expand the Kingdom. Church # 7  is possible by Nov 8-12.

We need your help and support. We need helpers of all sorts. Construction, VBS, Evangelists sharing the WORD, helpers in the Eye Glass Clinic and more. NO SKILLS NEEDED JUST WILLING HEARTS.

The Nov 8 -12, 2012 trip is taking applications!

The group will be leaving LAX for Puerto Vallarta on Thursday, November 8, 2012. (But team members travel from other parts of the U.S. and Canada as well.) The return trip is scheduled for Monday, November 12,  2012. Following is a typical schedule for our time in Mexico:

Thursday:

Arrival into Bucerias in the afternoon. Rent vehicles, drive to and check into the hotel (TBA).

6pm Welcome dinner  (paid by COC)
7:30pm Devotions followed by team meetings as necessary.

Friday :
7:00am Breakfast (paid by COC)
7:30am Devotions
8am Teams depart for Outreach sites.
9am-5pm All activities begin as soon as set up is complete.
Various Lunch provided by the locals.
5pm Teams return to hotel.
Dinner in town (on your own $)

Saturday:
7:00am Breakfast  (paid by COC)
7:30am Devotions
8am Teams depart to Outreach locations
9:00am-3:00pm All activities.
Various Lunch provided by locals.
3:00 pm Close down and inventory, label and count all remaining supplies.
5 pm back to hotel.

Dinner in town (on your own $)

Sunday:
8:30am Breakfast  (paid by COC)
10:30 am Church at La Fuente Riveria, Bucerias.

FREE TIME!  Swim, beach, shop, whatever…lunch and dinner on your own pesos.

Monday:

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. It is time to provide for the great harvest in Mexico. Once churches are planted, this needy area will be provided for on a continual basis. Here is what happens when churches are planted.

-  The gospel is consistently preached.

-  The poor and needy are helped.

-  Orphans and widows receive ongoing care.

-  Prisoners are visited.

-  Youth are transformed.

-  Addicts are rehabilitated.

-  Families are restored.

-  In other words Jesus meets the needs of the world through His church.

A church insures an ongoing return on your heavenly investment.

Now on every Tuesday afternoon and most Saturdays we are sharing the Gospel and feeding the needy in several key locations throughout our area.

EMILIANO ZAPATA:

Emiliano Zapata is our mission in the Punta de Mita area.  We now own property there and we soon want to put up an awning to cover the people before the summer rains….

SAN VICENTE “LA MISION”:

We are actually working in two separate locations in the San Vicente area.  In the place pictured below 10,000 new low cost housing units are being built.  We are the first church in an area that will soon have 40 to 50 thousand people living there.

SAN IGNACIO:

San Ignacio is our newest mission located near the tourist area of Sayulita.  Many of the low income workers live in the town of San Ignacio.  Over 60 children and 20 adults have attended our Bible classes and breakfasts.  There is no evangelical church in San Ignacio.

BUCERIAS:

This is our “Mother Church” in the area where we do both English and Spanish services.  We also have free English classes, Jr. High and Youth groups, our work for Food program, breakfasts for the needy along with other outreach activities:

AREAS OF GREATEST NEED:

We need vehicles! We are looking for a 15 passenger van that can be imported to Mexico.  We could also use a couple of pickup trucks for the many missions that need food and supplies transported to them on a bi weekly basis.

Construction: Construction of our Sunday School rooms and Kitchen are now practically completed.  However, we still need funds for our main church building that will seat about 300 people and some much needed office space.  Also, if a missionary builder would like to come down for a few months or more we are in need of an overseer in this area.   $50.00 USD purchases one square foot of our building.

General Fund: Paying workers, utilities, maintenance, Sunday School materials, etc. is always needed.  Although many Canadian and American people who attend our services go back to their native lands in the spring and summer months, we continue to minister to the hundreds of people that go to our missions and outreaches.

Dear Friends,

What a blessing to serve the Lord in different activities in this area. We want to share some of the wonderful and refreshing testimonies from last weekend.

We went to serve breakfast at Emiliano Zapata (aka Punta de Mita) with our Jr. High team lead by Abel and Daniela Hernandez.  After setting up everything at a basketball court just a few kids and moms, showed up… Not that many and we wondered why?? Soon we realized that the government from the state of Nayarit was setting up a big free medical clinic, right next to us at the adjacent property.  So we quickly decided to bring breakfasts for each doctor and other people helping there. After that we asked the head Doctor if it would be possible to take our breakfast program along with our kids program to their clinic. Well, they said yes.. Praise God! … also, many thanks to the Cronk family, Vicky, Mike and Vicky and others for their flexibility.. we moved everything to the mobile clinic sight. Many more people were given New Testaments and Bibles, while they were waiting for the doctors along with a free breakfast. Also, a lot more children received the Bible lesson and craft. There is now a possibility that this same team of people from the government will join us for our outreach clinic on May 21 22, when the Circle of Concern team will be here. Several people were asking where we meet in Emiliano Zapata, so pray that we can start a small group there soon.

During that same morning Freddy and another team were working at our “work for food” program cleaning the Bucerias beach… Freddy shared some wonderful tesitmonies: a drunk person, when he saw a group of people cleaning went up to Freddy and gave him a 100 pesos to help feed the people there.
A guy passing by with a delivery truck with bread, (he had met Freddy before and told him that he doesn’t like pastors or churches) stopped the truck and gave Freddy many loaves of bread to give to the crowd while they were cleaning the area……

Pancake Power! (youth group)

This next month our youth group will be going out on the streets of Bucerias to share with other youth about the love of God using their testimonies as living proof of God´s power. While we do that we’ll be serving them pancakes!
Last Friday they went to one of the most visited plazas were lots of kids and youth spend their evenings out. We were praying for divine appointments, someone hungry to hear the good news and we got one. Freddy and I saw this young lady Aymar and started talking to her and sharing about God´s love. She opened up and it was like a hurt and dry heart receiving God’s living water! She ended up receiving Christ!
Our youth group is really fired up to continue to spread what God has done in their lives and they are looking forward for next Friday for more divine appointments to come!!

Construction will begin on Phase One in January and the day we leave( MAY 17) from our next mission trip there the “KIDS AROUND THE WORLD “ ministry will bring 30 people from Florida and they build a large playground on the front of our property. For those that have prayed with us and helped us financially thank you from COC and La Fuente.
